Total systems design including: load studies; power distribution design; MCC layout and design; lighting systems; grounding systems; interlock circuitry design and development of electrical equipment specifications.

1) Power Systems studies including the following:

a. Short circuit analysis
b. Voltage drop and load flow analysis
c. Impact motor starting analysis
d. Connected, demand and design load analysis
e. Sizing of feeders, ground wires and raceways
f. Sizing of transformers
g. Generation of basic one-line diagrams
h. Protective device coordination

2) Power distribution design including the following:

a. Design of detailed one-line diagrams
b. Design of overhead pole line distribution systems
c. Design of medium and high voltage substations
d. Design and layout of medium and low voltage switchgear and motor control centers
e. Design of low voltage switchracks
f. Design and layout of conduit and cable tray raceway systems
g. Design of emergency power systems

3)  Area classification of locations for electrical installation in accordance with the American Petroleum Institute (API) recommended practice RP 500, the National Electrical Code (NEC) and the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA)

4) Development of motor control schematics and wiring diagrams

5) Lighting system design in accordance with the Illumination Engineering Society (IES), API recommended practice RP 540 and the NEC including the following:

a. Hazardous location lighting design
b. Marine lighting design including aids-to-navigation and spill warning lights
c. Floodlight design
d.Indoor lighting design for dock houses, transit sheds, substation buildings and control buildings
e. Lighting distribution panel design
f. Design of automatic control for lighting systems

6)Grounding and lighting protection system design

7) Electrical heat tracing design

8) Development of electrical equipment specifications, electrical construction specifications and electrical bid documents
